This 12th edition
of "Fantastique.Nights" will take place at the
elegant Studio Athanor, located in the historical heart
of Brussels.
This event will combine several styles
of the scene; those of pop, rock'n'roll and metal.
The programme presents, for the very first
time in Belgium, the Canadian wonderkids The Birthday
Massacre on the final night of their highly anticipated
European Tour. They will be supported by two talented Belgian
formations who will present their own unique styles: Skeptical
Minds and De Volanges.
This enthralling evening will be concluded
by a goth and darkwave afterparty, featuring DJ Gore (The
Dawn Visitors), Moonseeker (Dies Irae) & Marc (Obscura
& Backstage).

Programme
The Birthday Massacre
Crashing
into dark underground scene in 2004 with their first album
Violet (Repo Records), The
Birthday Massacre is a young Canadian band whose
talent has been underlined by the biggest European journals
of its kind. Musically, the concept of the band is the
contrast of influences from the 90's for the muscular
guitars between Nine Inch Nails and Paradise Lost, and
from the 80's for the pop worthy synthetic melodies referring,
for example, to Depeche Mode or OMD. Following up on the
enthousiastic welcome by the European press and public,
the band visits the old continent while participating
in this summer's biggest gothic festivals.

Skeptical Minds
Skeptical
Minds saw the night in June 2002, when Vincent
recruited Kristell (voice) and Michel (guitar) in order
to complete his electro project. These three initial members
come from different musical environments, which gives SM
their direction: a unique mixture of electro-indus, metal
riffs, and female voice, sometimes compared to Lacuna Coil
or Evanescence. The band wrote and recorded 14 titles before
unveiling itself to the public in 2004. During that year,
SM released an EP and played as much as possible. In 2005,
SM released their first album entitled Rent
To Kill. On stage, enhanced with a bass player
and a drumer, the band hits strong. Watch Your Back !!!

De Volanges
In
the 90's, De Volanges was a four-members
band that received a certain recognition at the national
level and beyond. After a pause, the band returned in 2002,
as a trio but around the original concept: dark rock influenced
by the beginning of the 80's with names such as Joy Division,
Bauhaus or And Also The Trees. A mini-album was produced
in 2003 (Caresses Draw Maps).
Sometimes nervous, sometimes atmospheric and felted, their
music is the vehicle of haunted lyrics and unfold all their
dimensions on stage.

Afterparty
The concerts will be followed by an afterparty, animated
by the likes of DJ Gore (The Dawn Visitors), Moonseeker
(Dies Irae) & Marc (Obscura & Backstage) whose sets
will harmoniously combine best of present and past of Wave,
Gothic and Ethereal.
